Installation & Setup

  1. Back up your site before installing or replacing the plugin.
  2. In Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, upload the plugin ZIP.
  3. Install and activate WooCommerce, then activate Auctions for WooCommerce.
  4. Open Auctions → Settings.
  5. On General, choose your Auctions Base Page and auction visibility rules.
  6. On Lots, choose the lot base page and lot visibility rules if you plan to use lots.
  7. Configure the cron endpoints on your hosting account.
  8. Review auction emails under WooCommerce → Settings → Emails.

The Auctions menu provides All Auctions, Add New Auction, All Lots, Add New Lot, activity, winners, analytics, and settings.

If an archive or account endpoint returns a 404, open Settings → Permalinks and save once, then clear the relevant cache. Check that the selected page is published and has a unique URL.

Test updates on staging first, particularly if a theme overrides auction templates. Retain a database backup as auction bids, winners, seat records, and order links are stored in the database.
