Widgets & Elementor Pro
WordPress widgets
Section titled “WordPress widgets”The plugin registers these classic WordPress widgets:
| Widget | Displays |
|---|---|
| WooCommerce Auction Search | Auction search form. |
| WooCommerce Ending Soon Auctions | Auctions approaching their end. |
| WooCommerce Recent Auctions | Recently published auctions. |
| WooCommerce Featured Auction | Featured auctions. |
| WooCommerce Random Auctions | A random auction selection. |
| WooCommerce Recently Viewed Auctions | Auctions viewed by the visitor. |
| WooCommerce my Auction | The current customer’s auctions. |
| WooCommerce Future Auction | Upcoming auctions. |
| WooCommerce My Watchlist | The current customer’s watchlist. |
| WooCommerce Recent Bids | Recent bid activity. |
With a theme that exposes widget areas, open Appearance → Widgets, add the desired widget, and review its title and available controls. Widget placement depends on the theme. For page content or a theme without classic widget areas, use shortcodes.
Exclude customer-specific output from shared page caching. Test My Auction, My Watchlist, and Recently Viewed Auctions as the intended visitor. Keep sealed bids private when adding bid activity to a layout.
Elementor Pro requirements
Section titled “Elementor Pro requirements”The auction integration loads on Elementor Pro initialization and uses its WooCommerce widget classes. Install and activate Elementor, Elementor Pro, WooCommerce, and Auctions for WooCommerce before configuring these layouts. Elementor Free alone does not load this integration.
Available Elementor widgets
Section titled “Available Elementor widgets”| Widget | Intended context |
|---|---|
| Archive Auctions | Auction archive. |
| Archive Auction Lots | Lot archive. |
| Auction Bid Form | Current auction product. |
| Auction Countdown | Current auction product. |
| Auction Dates | Current auction product. |
| Auction History | Current auction product. |
| Auction Max Bid | Current auction product and customer. |
| Auction Reserve | Current auction product. |
| Auction Sealed | Current auction product. |
Archive widgets use the current archive query. Use them in the corresponding archive template rather than expecting them to select arbitrary products on an ordinary page.
Build an auction product layout
Section titled “Build an auction product layout”- Open a Single Product template in Elementor Pro’s Theme Builder.
- Set the preview product to an actual Auction product.
- Add the required auction widgets and the ordinary WooCommerce product information.
- Review the template’s display conditions so it applies to the intended products.
- Check an active auction on the storefront as a customer, including bidding, countdown, history, and the payment controls after closing.
Auction Bid Form renders the bid form for the current auction; it does not provide the complete winner-payment or Buy It Now layout. Preserve those controls separately when replacing a complete product template. A closed auction does not render this widget’s bid form.
For another builder with shortcode support, use template fragments in a valid auction product context. Keep nonce fields and sealed-bid visibility rules intact. Source inspection confirms the integration exists; verify compatibility with the Elementor Pro version installed on your staging site before publishing a layout.
